The permanent exhibition "Memorial Room-Personal Stories" was established at the Srebrenica Memorial Center in 2007, based on 20 personal belongings of genocide victims which were uncovered in mass graves.

The exhibition was inspired by the Imperial War Museum in London, while the personal stories were collected by Emir Suljagic. Funding for this exhibition is provided by the Office of the High Representative, the Government of the United Kingdom, and the Government of the Netherlands.
